In the
event I spill on a surface how can I attempt to remove
the colorant? Where can I obtain information on stain
removal?
Yes,
you should be able to thaw and re-freeze the cookie
dough
about 5 times without any loss in quality.
Can
I use some of the dough now and save some for later?
Yes!
Just leave the remaining dough in the tub, reseal
the tub and store in the freezer.
Do I
need to thaw the dough before baking it?
No, the
dough is ready to use right out of the tub.
Can
I microwave the unbaked dough?
No. The
uneven heat of a microwave prevents the dough from
browning and
baking through. You can use a convection/microwave
oven to bake our cookies.
Do I
need to preheat the oven?
Yes,
preheat the oven for 10 minutes before baking.
This important step will help the cookies bake evenly.
Which
oven rack should I use?
Use the
center rack of your oven.
Can
I eat the raw dough?
Our cookies
are designed to be baked first, then eaten.
We do not recommend eating any raw cookie dough.
Can
I bake the cookies in my toaster oven?
Yes!
Most toaster ovens work well for one or two cookies.
Set the timer for eight minutes or bake the cookies
at 350º for
8-10 minutes and watch closely, since ovens vary in
heating ability.
How
do I reheat a baked cookie?
Microwave
on HIGH for 8 to 12 seconds or until warm.
How
long should the cookies cool before I remove them
from the cookie sheet?
Let cookies
cool on the cookie sheet for two minutes to make them
easier to remove from the sheet. If cookies have cooled
too long and are difficult to remove, reheat the cookie
sheet in the oven for one minute, then remove the
cookies from the sheet.
What
is the best way to store baked cookies?
Cool
cookies thoroughly before storing them. In dry weather,
store crisp
cookies in a container with a loose-fitting lid. If
the weather is humid, use
a container that closes tightly.
How
do I handle sticky Grandma Corbi's Cookie Dough?
To avoid
sticky dough, always make sure your cookie dough is
well chilled.
TIP: Spraying your clean hands with nonstick cooking
spray, or using a knife
to cut the dough apart makes for easier handling.
